Emergency Notification

Campus alert systems like Alertus and LiveSafe.

  • The University has equipped on-campus computer and TV screens with an emergency alert software called Alertus. In the event of an emergency, this software allows the NinerAlert system to override current content with urgent information.

  • LiveSafe is a free, downloadable app that provides communication channels to Police and Public Safety and links to emergency contacts and evacuation plans. More information can be found here: http://emergency.uncc.edu/nineralerts/live-safe

  • Rave is what powers the NinerAlerts system. NinerAlerts allows University Emergency Management to notify campus of emergencies through numerous communication channels.
